I can't believe I finished yet another big one this week - go me! I'm not sure why I'm being so productive, maybe the fact that West is coming up soon? The composition of this one is similar to several of the others I've done recently (Bough, Absence of Black, etc.). When I look back over all of my tree paintings, almost all have the branches arching from right to left. I wonder why I'm not drawn to paint trees going the other direction? I like how the extreme the angle is on this tree and how the tree the limb on the far left touches the ground. I also love the dappled light in the foliage on the left.
